We are an independent power producer (IPP) whose business is to commission and operate clean energy installations across Europe.

Controlled Expansion To Meet Achievable Targets
Our first demonstration project is the creation of a solar PV plant in Andalusia, Spain where we will demonstrate the practical application of advanced PV concentrator and tracking technology as a cost- effective means of producing grid-standard electricity in an environment that has one of the highest levels of solar radiation in Europe.

The Current Situation
Governments across Europe now acknowledge that larger utility-scale installations in the field of PV solar power generation will be required to meet EU targets for clean energy generation.
For that reason, the upper limits on the size of PV systems that qualify for financial incentives are being increased, or even removed altogether. Spain in particular has established generous incentives in terms of attractive feed-in tariffs to encourage the production of sustainable energy from solar power plants.

The Next Five Years
A middle tier of energy producers is developing between major national utilities and micro-level solar panel installers. It is Segen's intention to operate in this major growth sector over the next five years.
As the market becomes more regional and installations generating 10 MW+ proliferate, Segen intends to be at the forefront, helping to contribute profitably towards the EU's targets for reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
