Yes, you can find everything online 24/7 – there’s a wealth of information on the Segen customer portal from brochures, datasheets, product specifications, installation manuals, warranty documents, guides, design tools and configurators. Live stock levels, quotes and account information, invoices and design tools, the portal has it all!

Also, Segen customers are assigned dedicated team members to assist with everything they need. There’s a Sales Manager who has a huge amount of product and industry knowledge, and the Order Processor who handles the logistics of the deliveries and makes sure they go smoothly. There’s a Technical Support Engineer on hand to help with any before, during, and post installation enquiries, and for any finance enquiries there’s an expert on hand to keep accounts on track.

There are warranties available on all Segen products, and you can find out more and download warranty documents on the customer portal product pages.

Often free extended warranties are available if products are registered online with manufacturers but also, extended warranties are available to purchase from Segen or the manufacturer directly, offering peace of mind to installer and system owner.

There are always great package deals available from Segen with discounts on inverters, batteries and accessories. There’s a Clearance section where you can find end-of-line bargains and you’ll find special offers from our top manufacturers on this page.

Also, there’s a 30-day price lock on quotes and an Early Shipping Discount as a reward for having shipments confirmed in advance.

Course information

Prior to starting the course, delegate must provide the following

  • Proof of identity, e.g. driving licence. Copy of certificates all scanned to Academy Manager.
  • ALL @ LEVEL 3 AND TO BE VERIFIED BY ACADEMY MANAGER BEFORE ACCEPTANCE ANY OTHER EVIDENCE TO BE ASSESSED BY ACADEMY MANAGER AND VERIFIED BY LCL

Delegates must bring the following things on day 1 of the course:

  • Basic stationary (pen, pencil, ruler)
  • A calculator

Solar Photovoltaic

  • This regulated qualification is for learners wishing to achieve a regulated qualification in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of EESS. This qualification is in accordance with BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations and the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS).
  • Learners undertaking this qualification will typically be updating their electrotechnical sector competence or undertaking continuous professional development.
  • This qualification has been updated to BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 Requirements for Electrical Installations and current industry requirements.

Electrical Energy Storage Systems

  • This regulated qualification is for learners wishing to achieve a regulated qualification in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of EESS. This qualification is in accordance with BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations and the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS).
  • Learners undertaking this qualification will typically be updating their electrotechnical sector competence or undertaking continuous professional development.

Solar Photovoltaic
Learner will:

  • Know the health and safety risks and safe systems of work associated with solar photovoltaic system installation work.
  • Know the requirements of the relevant regulations/ standards relating to practical installation, testing and commissioning activities for solar photovoltaic system installation work.
  • Know the fundamental differences between AC and DC circuits within solar photovoltaic systems.
  • Know the purpose of solar photovoltaic system components.
  • Know the types, silicon characteristics and typical conversion efficiencies of solar photovoltaic modules.
  • Know the fundamental design principles used to determine solar photovoltaic system module array size and position requirements.
  • Know the preparatory work required for solar photovoltaic system installation work.
  • Know the layouts and the requirements for installing solar photovoltaic module arrays.
  • Know solar photovoltaic system DC and AC circuit installation layouts within the scope of the relevant Engineering Recommendation for grid tied systems.
  • Know solar photovoltaic system protection techniques and components.

Electrical Energy Storage Systems
Learner will:

  • Know the key requirements for installation of EESS
  • Know and identify equipment, arrangements and operating modes of EESS
  • Know the requirements for design and installation of EESS
  • Be able to prepare for the installation of EESS
  • Be able to install EESS
  • Know the requirements for initial verification and handover of EESS
  • Be able to conduct initial verification and handover of EESS.

This qualification is aimed at experienced and practicing electrical operatives. On application for the qualification, the Approved Centre (AO) will carry out an Initial Assessment of the learner’s capability to complete the qualification.

Learners holding the following will confirm their suitability to enrol on the qualification.

  • Level 3 Electrotechnical vocational qualification which includes the initial verification and certification of electrical installations, and a
  • BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (current edition) qualification.

Learners not holding the above qualifications, will be required to provide evidence to the AC of suitable alternative qualifications and/or provide confirmation of their related work experience, skills and knowledge of current electrical regulations. This evidence must be documented and retained by the AC.

For learners to meet the membership requirements of any competent person scheme, registration body or other professional recognition there may be additional requirements.

Upon shipment of your order, a credit will be applied to your account to the value of 20% of the value of the course completed. This credit can be redeemed against your next Segen order.
