What is ArcBox?
It’s an easy-to-install device that surrounds DC connectors with a high-temperature ceramic enclosure that reduces the risk that an arc-fault will spread to surrounding combustible materials and develop into a fire.

In a collaboration with a fire testing laboratory earlier this year it was found that flat roof installations benefit from using ArcBox just as much as BIPV solar installations. In this report researchers found that the securing DC connectors away from the flat roof covering is not enough to prevent an arcing connector from developing into a roof fire.
