Hot Stuff from Fox
Batteries you can rely on, whatever the weather.
Finally, the coldest months are behind us, but they will return, and with them low temperatures that threaten efficiency and health of batteries.
As you probably know, cold weather can prompt a drop in performance of battery systems, affecting the internal chemistry of the battery and ultimately doing irreversible damage to the battery cells.
To mitigate cold temperatures and keep storage running optimally Fox ESS has recognised the problem and released two innovative battery models, the EP5-H and EP11-H with integrated and groundbreaking warm-up function to ensure reliable energy storage in the harshest winters.
Recently guidelines have been published recommending batteries are installed outdoors (not in lofts) which adds an extra layer of complexity to designing energy storage systems. Both EP5-H (5kWh) and the EP11-H (11kWh) are built to thrive in inclement weather and meet regulatory requirements while delivering superior energy reliability.
The built-in heating system keeps internal cells within their optimal operating range therefore maintaining better charge and discharge rates. Consistent operation ensures peace of mind for owners, and customisation of settings allows alignment with energy availability and needs.
